Shepherds Pie Recipe

Shepherds Pie Recipe Ingredients:
  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 2 tablespoons chopped Onion
  • 1 tablespoon Parsley
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon Pepper
  • 10 oz. Peas and Carrots
  • 1 -10 oz, can Beef Gravy
  • 1/4 cup chopped Celery
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 cups Mashed Potatoes

Shepherds Pie Recipe
Time: 1 hour
Serves: 4

Shepherds Pie Recipe Instructions:
  • Take a large skillet and brown the beef, onions and parsley.
  • Now drain the fat and Sprinkle with salt and pepper to your taste.
  • Cook peas and carrots until tender and drain.
  • Add to beef and Stir in beef gravy and celery and heat through.
  • Pour into 2 quart baking dish. Peel, Cut, and boil potatoes for about 20 minutes until tender.
  • Mix with an electric mixer until most of the chunks Have been removed.
  • Add ¼ cup milk, 2 tablespoons, butter and 1 beaten egg.
  • Spread over meat mixture.
  • Bake for 20minutes at 425 F or until potatoes are light brown.
Shepherds Pie Recipe Cooking Time:
  • Cooking time is about 1 hour.
  • Allow to cool before serving.
Shepherds Pie Recipe Serving Instructions:
  • Serve with Red Wine.
