Scones Recipe Ingredients:
  • 450g / 1 lb Self Raising Flour
  • 110g / 4oz Butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Bicarbonate of Soda

Scones Recipe Instructions:
  • Heat oven to 190°C: 375°F.
  • Rub the butter lightly into flour and add air by lifting the mixture when mixing.
  • Mix mixture until it resembles breadcrumbs.
  • Add the salt and bicarbonate of soda, mixing in some milk to make a soft dough.
  • Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface until about 1.5cm (½ inch) thick, cut into 4cm (1½ inch) rounds.
  • Bake for 12 - 15 minutes or until golden brown then remove from the oven and place on a wire rack to cool.

  • Cooking time 12-15 minutes.
  • Store in a airtight tin.
Scones Recipe Serving Instructions:
  • Serve with, Butter, Jams, Clotted Cream and a nice pot of Tea.
