Fruit Cake Recipe

Fruit Cake Recipe Ingredients:
  • 200g / 8oz Self-Raising Flour
  • 100g / 4oz Butter
  • 100g / 4oz Caster Sugar
  • 100g / 4oz Mixed Dried Fruits
  • 1 Leave teaspoon finely grated Lemon Rind
  • 1 Egg
  • 5 Tablespoons Milk

Fruit Cake Recipe
Time:1 hour 30min
Serves: 8

Fruit Cake Recipe Instructions:
  • Prepare 15cm / 6in round cake tin or 20cm x 10cm x 6cm / 1 lb loaf tin.
  • Stir flour in to a large bowl and rub in butter finely.
  • Add Fruit, Sugar, Lemon Rind then mix to a batter with milk and egg.
  • Stir to evenly combined Do Not beat.
  • Transfer to the prepared tin.
  • Bake at 180 C or 350 F in the middle of the oven for 1¼ - 1½ hours
  • Leave in tin for 5 minutes then turnout and leave to stand on a wire rack.
Fruit Cake Recipe Cooking Time:
  •  Cooking time 1 ½ hours.
  • Store Cake in a airtight tin when cooled.
Fruit Cake Recipe Serving Instructions:
  • Serve with Double Cream, Fresh Cream, Custard
  • Serve with Tea or Coffee
