Free and Easy Christmas Pudding Recipe |
Christmas Pudding Recipe Ingredients:- 100g / 4oz Plain Flour
- ½ level teaspoon of Mixed Spice
- ¼ level teaspoon of Grated Nutmeg
- 225g / 8oz fresh White Breadcrumbs
- 275g / 10 oz finely shredded suet
- 225g / 8oz soft Brown Sugar
- 350g / 12oz each Seedless Raisins and Sultanas
- 50g / 2oz mixed Chopped Peel
- 50g / 2oz Shelled Walnut halves or blanched Almonds
- Finely grated rind of a Orange.
- 4 Large Eggs beaten
- ½ wineglass of Brandy or Dry Sherry
- ½ teaspoon Almond Essence
- 150ml / ¼ pint of Milk
|  Time:8 hours Serves: 6 - 7

Christmas Pudding Recipe Instructions:- Mix flour, spice ant the nutmeg in a big bowl.
- Add breadcrumbs, suet, sugar, raisin, sultanas, peel finely chopped, walnuts or almonds and grated orange peel.
- Mix this all well together.
- Now combine the beaten eggs, brandy or sherry, almond essence and milk and stir well.
- Store overnight to cool and then half into two 1 litre or 2 pint basins.
- Cover top with buttered greaseproof paper.
- Now steam steadily for 6 hours replacing the water as it boils away
- Leave to cool then turn out and leave until completely cold.
- Wrap in greaseproof paper and store in a cool dry place.

Christmas Pudding Recipe Cooking Time:- 6 hours.
- Time needed to cool.
- A further 2 hours.

Christmas Pudding Recipe Serving Instructions:- To serve unwrap and return to the basin, cover with greaseproof paper and steam for further 2 hours.
- Leave to call a little then serve.
- Can serve with Cream, Custard, Ice Cream, or a Sweet Sauce.
