Chicken Recipe

Chicken Recipe Ingredients:
  • Whole Chicken - 5 pounds
  • 4 Red Potatoes cut into quarters
  • 1 large Onion - sliced
  • 4 Carrots - peeled
  • 1/2 Sweet Red Pepper
  • 1 oz dry Onion Soup mix - 1 packet
  • 1/2 cup Water

Chicken Recipe
Time: 6 hours
Serves: 6

Chicken Recipe Instructions:
  • Remove any Chicken parts from the Chicken cavity.
  • Wash the Chicken cavity and the whole outside of the chicken with cold water.
  • Spray slow cooker insert with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Put prepared vegetables in the bottom of the slow cooker and add water.
  • Sprinkle 1/2 of onion soup mix over the of the vegetables.
  • Place the Chicken on top of vegetables.
  • Sprinkle remaining onion soup mix over the chicken.
  • Cover and turn slow cooker on high for 4 to 5 hours or until the Chicken looks done.
  • Do not remove the cover during the first 2 hours.
Chicken Recipe Cooking Time:
  • Cooking time 4 to 5 hours.
  • Can cook on a lower heat for a longer time.
Chicken Recipe Serving Instructions:
  • This dish goes well with White Wine.
