Birthday Cake Recipe

Birthday Cake Recipe Ingredients:
  • CAKE
    2 cup Flour
  • 2 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 3/4 cup Sour Cream
  • 1/4 cup Shortening
  • 1  1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 2 Eggs
  • 100g / 4oz. unsweetened Chocolate - melted

     
  • FROSTING
  • 1/3 cup Butter
  • 3 cup Confectioners Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream
  • 2 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 75g / 3oz unsweetened Chocolate - melted

Birthday Cake Recipe
Time: 45 min
Serves: 10

Birthday Cake Recipe Instructions:
  • Heat oven to 350 degrees then grease and flour a 13 x 9 inch oblong pan.
  • Put all cake ingredients into large mixing bowl.
  • Mix 1/2 minute on low speed, scraping bowl constantly.
  • Beat 3 minutes at high speed, scraping bowl occasionally then tip into pan and bake 40 - 45 minutes.
  • Now for the Frosting, Mix butter and chocolate thoroughly then blend in sugar.
  • Mix in sour cream and vanilla and beat until smooth.
  • Spread frosting over the cake and leave to set on a wire rack.
Birthday Cake Recipe Cooking Time:
  • Cake cooking time 45 minutes.
  • Store in a airtight cake tin.
Birthday Cake Recipe Serving Instructions:
  • Serve with candles the same number as years of Birthday.
  • Great at Birthday Party's.
