Apple Crumble Recipe

Apple Crumble Recipe Ingredients:
  • 500g / 1 lb cooking Apples
  • 150g / 6oz Granulated Sugar
  • Topping
  • 150g / 6oz plain Flour
  • 75g / 3oz Butter
  • 50 to 75g / 2 to 3oz Caster sugar

Apple Crumble Recipe
Time: 1 hour
Serves: 4

Apple Crumble Recipe Instructions:
  • Peel, core and slice the apple into slices and put into a 1 litre or 2 pint heatproof dish in layers with granulated sugar.
  • Mix flour in a bowl then rub in butter finely.
  • Add sugar then toss lightly so the ingredients mix together.
  • Sprinkle Crumble over fruit thickly and evenly then press down softly with your palm, and to smooth top use a knife
  • Preheat the oven to 190 c or 375 f then bake for 15 minutes
  • Reduce temperature down to 180 c or 350 f and bake for a further 45 minutes, or until the top is a nice light golden brown colour.
  • Remove and leave to cool before serving.

  • Cooking time is about 1 hour.
  • Cool before serving.
Apple Crumble Recipe Serving Instructions:
  • Serve with Double Cream, Fresh Cream, or even Custard.
  • Can be served Hot or Cold.
